- From: Monday 11th October 2021
- Reopening ( estimated): Monday 1st November 2021
- Duration: 3 Weeks
- Reason: Refurbishment of the Surgery
From Monday 11th October Mile End Road Surgery will be closed for three weeks. This is to allow for refurbishment of the surgery and essential work to be undertaken in certain rooms.
Please be assured that Mile End Road patients will still be able to access their GP, Nurse, Healthcare Assistant or Phlebotomist.
If you need to contact us whilst the surgery is closed please telephone us in the usual way 01603 442200 Or via the messaging service on our website.
If you require a face to face appointment this will be offered at one of our other two surgeries located at Tuckswood ( on Hall Road, NR4 6NE) and Gurney ( on Fishergate, NR3 1SE).
The work being undertaken will comprise of:
Consulting Room 2, 3 & 4
Removal of the built-in couches and desking. Make good the walls & floor. New couches and desking to be installed.
Health Care Assistant Room 9
Minor repairs to the room to be made.
Patient and Staff Toilet
To update sanitary ware and supply new taps, extend waste and new work to conceal pipework.
Waiting Room and Downstairs Corridors
Remove all existing carpeting, make good the subfloor and lay new flooring.
Reception Area and Rear Office
Remove all existing carpeting, make good the subfloor and lay new flooring.
The work is being carried out to update the surgery as it has been a number of years since it was previously refurbished. With the removal of the carpet it will also ensure that we are adhering to infection control best practice.
We apologise for not being able to keep the surgery open for you but given the extent of the works to be undertaken this is not possible. We have been advised that it will take three weeks for the refurbishment to be completed and we are looking to re-open on 1st November 2021.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation and support. It is very much appreciated.
