If we do not have a mobile number for you or you have advised that you do not want to receive an SMS from the surgery, then you will not be able to book online. We will call you to book a flu vaccine instead.

In line with the recent updated guidance for patients aged 50 to 64yrs old and not with an underlying health condition, we will be inviting these patients in later in the season. The priority we have been asked to focus on by NHS England is the over 65yrs and those under 65yrs in an at risk group.

Will I get a COVID booster at the same time?

Currently we do not have any details when we will be receiving the covid booster for the autumn programme and planning is underway. As such we are planning for flu vaccines only in the clinics above. If you are eligible for the covid booster as well, then you will be contacted to book in at another time. The covid clinics will be running at Gurney Surgery as we have done since January 2021. There will not be no covid clinics running at Mile End Road or Tuckswood.

What about care home and housebound patients?

We have been in contact with our Care Homes and will be sending a nurse team to do these vaccinations on site early October. This may include the covid vaccine at the same time to maximise protection for the most vulnerable patients. We are also in the process of contacting patients listed as housebound to offer them the flu and covid vaccine. This will be done in conjunction with the PCN team who will be attending housebound patients. At this time planning is ongoing and we have no dates yet for when housebound patients will receive their vaccine.

If you have any questions then please contact the surgery where a member of staff will be happy to assist you.
